Baby Butterflies - Children 0-1 years
The Baby Butterfly Room is where the children first begin their adventure through the nursery. This is where they develop into little explorers through planned and child-initiated play. The children explore all areas of development through crafts, sensory experiences, physical play and general free play.
They learn about themselves in this room and establish their individual likes and dislikes while making friendships.
"The children in the baby room enjoy exploring with messy play, they also enjoy musical toys and sing-a-long. During story time the children love to look at the pictures and join in."
Lisa
Butterflies - Children 1-2 years
The Butterfly Room is where the children begin to find their feet, exploring more independently with a outdoor play area linked to their room and their own ball pool. The children are able to explore and initiate more play and activities through self-development.
"The Big Butterflies enjoy exploring our ball pool and garden area. They also love joining in with nursery rhymes at circle time and exploring new textures within messy play. "
Becky
Fireflies - Children 2-3 years
This is a bright, lively and stimulating room where children thrive to learn from new and everyday experiences. This is a small room where we target the children's learning ready for the pre-school room so they learn colours, numbers, shapes etc. Children enjoy the outdoor experiences and benefit from these on a daily basis. The Firefly Room is where the children really grow in their individual development, becoming increasingly independent and make more choices for themselves in all areas of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) . They have their time for free play and child-led activities but are also following a room routine, preparing them to move into the pre-school room.
"Fireflies is a warm, welcoming environment for the little ones to explore, develop and grow. We get very messy exploring different materials and textures, we get very sleepy from being on the go and our bellies hurt from laughing all of the time.
In our fun room we get everyone ready for pre-school. We strengthen our fine motor skills understand numbers, begin to learn our phonics and follow a fun routine. Our room is very colourful and interesting as the walls are full of the children's work. All of the children love our mini discos to burn off energy, they also love to relax in our sensory garden."

Grasshoppers - Children 3-5 years
The children in these rooms are preparing to fly off to school so these are the main education rooms. Children are free to use their imagination through a combination of child-centred and adult-led activities. They have lots of experience of arts and crafts, messy play etc and also times when the children are taken outside, where they the have opportunity to explore planting and sensory experiences. Children benefit from our large open indoor and outdoor play areas. They have adult-led activities to sit and do, either in their key groups, as individuals or as a whole room. They cover all aspects of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) to ensure they are ready for school. Activities include writing their name, counting, shapes, listening, attention games and many more.
They also have free time to explore and enjoy playing with their friends.
Before and After School and Holiday Club
In this room children can come from school to nursery on our minibuses to enjoy free time with other children. They have access to the outdoor playground, an area for relaxing and watching a film in the cinema room, as well as the opportunity to sit and do their homework with the support of our staff.
We also offer a holiday club for the children within all school holidays which include various outings to different places to keep the children busy and entertained.
