At Kiddy Winks Day Nursery each child is treated as an individual person, encouraged and guided to develop in a safe, caring and stimulating environment. Our emphasis is on learning through play, both free play and guided play.
Regardless of which room your child is in the staff will not only care for their physical needs but also encourage them to explore and play with the wide range of high quality equipment and play material to expand and develop their learning skills.
It is far more enjoyable for a child to learn and experience colour, for example, by painting and being praised by staff with reinforcing language ie. 'that's a beautiful blue circle' than to be instructed.
Hand and eye co-ordination can be learnt through threading and construction whilst valuable language can be expressed and learnt during sand and water play.
At Kiddy Winks Day Nursery we choose all our equipment very carefully and all children have full access to it, so all areas of development are stimulated; physical, motor, cognitive and emotional, whilst our qualified staff actively encourage and interact with the children.
Children are also able to develop their social skills through their interaction with other children both in play and during mealtime's etc.
Kiddy Winks Day Nursery operates a 'key person' system, which means that each child is linked to a specific member of staff in their room who will complete their developmental record (this is confidential to the nursery but open to parents at all times). They are also a link between the nursery and the child's parents/guardian.
